에 ~ In, To, Per, On

Provides meaning, among other things:

At ~> Location*

To ~> Destination (movement)

Per ~> Unit of Calculation

At ~> Indicates Time

Note:

* Not ongoing / not followed by an active action. Or simply, if followed by the following Verb / Adjective, we use 에:

있'다 = There is (there is in….)

많'다 = Many (many in….)

넣'다 = To put in (to put in….)

놓'다 = To put (to put in….)

두'다 = To put (to put in….)

앉'다 = To sit (to sit in….)

Example:

• 화장실이 어디에 있어요?  = Where is the toilet?
• 재 딸이 학교에 가요 = My daughter goes to school.
• 레니가 지갑을 가방에 넣어요 = Reni put her wallet in her bag.
• 저는 오후 8시에 잤습니다 = I went to bed at 8 pm.
• 3미터에 점프해요 = Jumping per 3 meters.
